I'm almost too in love to share it, but you don't see these cars pop up too often on the web. An absolutely gorgeous looking black '67 200D fintail on Craigslist in Los Angeles. BEHOLD:
Owner wants $5500 for it. He says it runs and drives great, but these old Benz diesels aren't necessarily for the faint of heart (not to mention super duper slow). Still, this is a breathtakingly beautiful classic, and at this price, I have to guess either something's wrong with it (maybe a bad respray? photos aren't clear enough), or it's going to go fast.
Check it out !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Does this seem cheap? Seems cheap to me.

My god it seems cheap. Can't tell if this is a case of California being awesome or something shady.

It's cheap, but it's not unbelievable. Like I said, the paint may not be as good as the pictures want you to think. That's often an issue with Craigslist photo compression. There's a reason it went from 6500 to 5500.

My dream scenario is always the ignorant seller or the seller who just wants to make room in the garage/yard. Unfortunately it never happens to me but I do have my eye on a Ferrari under a tarp that I may just inquire about one of these days.

That seems a fair price. Especially that 4 cylinder diesel isn't the most coveted of the heckflosse.

Although these are beautiful, I prefer the more understated W108 or the W114.
